1 minute Banana nutella mug cake – Healthy microwave baking recipes

I had been craving for chocolate for the last few days, especially  for the chocolatey taste of nutella. And there were a few over ripe bananas too!!!The nutella and the banana combo always works out just fine, be it milkshakesor icecreams. And as my readers already know, my thing has just to be healthy and a low calorie one too. So I didi not want to add any extra sweetener as the banana and nutella already provided the necessary sweetness. But I did add some semi sweet dark chocolate chips on the top. As they melted in the microwave, it was just delicious and I really loved the gooey texture it provided to the chewy fudgy cake. And yes, I have neither used refined flour nor whole wheat flour in this recipe. It has very little oil and milk in it.

I really love this mug cakes as it is easy to put together only the ingredients you look forward to. It is done in a minute. I was craving for these flavours for almost 3 days and finally when I found some 5 minutes for myself when the kids went to play in the evening , I made this and had a quarter of it and kept for the others to have the rest. Each of them had a spoon. I was delighted to see the leftovers. I had the rest of it for the breakfast next day and simply felt satiated.

Instructions
  1. You can use microwave safe coffee/tea mugs or even ramekins.
  2. You can grease them with butter if youlike to remove it from the mug and eat.
  3. Generally, I directly eat from the mug with a spoon, so I dont grease it.
  4. Take a mixing bowl and place the banana in it.
  5. Mash the banana with a fork.
  6. Add the nutella and mix it.
  7. Pour the oil.
Recipe Notes

Pour the milk and mix it well.

In a cup, combine the powdered oats and baking powder.
Pour the oats mixture in the liquid mixture and mix well with a spoon.

Pour this cake batter in the mug.
Microwave this at 100% power for a minute.
If you feel it is still very liquid, you can do so for another 20 sec.
Serve when it cools down.

At the same time, cooking time may vary in each microwave, so feel free to experiment the time your microwave may require to cook the cake.
