Avacado parathas

        Though I have cooked with avacado before, it was not a regular thing in my kitchen.My hubby who has just realised how healthy avacados are buys them often nowadays. I have made this rotis couple of times and everyone loves it.Even my choosy kid loves them!!

Whole wheat flour- 10-12 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Red chilly powder-1/2tsp
Cumin seeds powder- 1/2tsp
Ghee for brushing on parathas

      Cut the avacado vertically in half. Deseed and scoop out the pulp from it. Mash it with a masher or using a fork. Now add the spice powders and salt followed by the whole wheat flour. Mix well and form a soft and firm dough. Just add a few drops of water if necessary or if the dough is too dry. Add oil and knead it again to smooth dough.
       Heat a tava or a girdle.Now make lemon sized balls with the dough. Roll them into a thick circle. Place the circle on the hot tava. When brown spots appear at the bottom , flip on the other side and cook. Brush some ghee on both sides. Flip again to cook properly on both sides. Place it on a tissue lined in a hotpot if you are not serving immediately. Repeat the same with rest of the dough.
        Serve hot with some gravy, pickle or even spiced curds, raitha etc.
Add some ajwain or saunf (fennel seeds) while kneading the dough.
