Carrot apple juice

          Though I would prefer to eat fruits as it is,sometimes its just nice to combine a few fruits together which go well with each other to create another interesting taste. Thats what happened when I had a large stock of carrots and apples and I decided to make this one. As the apples were really sweet, it required very less sugar.It also gave an immense satisfaction of sneeking in some raw carrots which otherwise is not so frequently consumed as a salad at my place!!

  • 2 Carrots - grated
  • 2 Apples -chopped
  • 2 - 3 tsp Sugar

Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients in the blender along with a glass of water and blend well to a fine paste. Pour this on a sieve placed on a vessel.Squeeze all the juice well with a spoon to extract maximum juice from the pulp.Add another glass of water on the pulp and squeeze out more juice. Chill and serve.
  2. Notes-
  3. You can add more sugar if you prefer it sweeter , but apples itself imparts a nice sweetness to the juice.
  4. Store the pulp in the refrigerator. "What did I do with the pulp?" will be my next post.

  1. Refreshingly yummy! I think apple juice is one of the most tasty, refreshing and healthy juices. I have also observed that it helps me keep me cut my hunger.. I usually make apple juice at home or buy KDD harvest’s apple juice from the store… this recipe of yours looks very tempting.. I am definitely making this at home.. I usually leave the skin of the apple while making the juice.. I’ve heard it has a lot of nutrients in it.. Is this true?

  2. True..you can leave the skin on..only concern is the bits of skin which may be slightly irritating .. Can filter the juice
