Cherry icecream recipes- easy and eggless no machine icecream recipes

There was a time when I was addicted to baking. I used to bake almost every week and I was always fascinated with a new and interesting cake or cookie recipe. I still do, but the frequency of baking has reduced. Its also because of health reasons and also time constraints. If at all I get the time to bake, I bake healthy cakes and cookies involving low fat and healthy ingredients. Similarly, now I am addicted to making icecreams. It was last summer when I made this mango icecream for the first time. Then after discussing with a friend, I have made atleast five icecreams since last month. There has been a significant improvement in the taste and texture of each icecream I made this time. The cherry icecream is the most recent one I made when I found really delicious and juicy cherries at the supermarket.

This time , I used evaporated milk in the recipe. It tasted like a kulfi. It was delicious and we liked it. But my son did not like the slight milky taste in it. I could have used the vanillin powder I had, but somehow it would have dominated the cherry flavour in it. But if you try this and bit hesistant about the slight milky flavour, then try using a cherry essence or almond essence. But if youare like me, just follow the recipe as mentioned.

Do let me know your feedback as usual and comeback for more icecream recipes coming soon.

  • 1 cup Cream - (I used nestles all purpose cream)

  1. Remove the seeds from the cherries with knife or a cherry pitter.
  2. Combine the pitted cherries, cream, evaporated milk and sugar in a blender to make a smooth paste.
  3. Its ok to leave some cherry bits in the mix. I love it that way.
  4. Pour this in a freezer container.
  5. Freeze it for 2 hours.
  6. Remove from the freezer. Break the crystals with a fork and whisk it well to a smooth paste.
  7. You can also put it back in a blender and blend it to a smooth paste.
  8. Pour back into the container and return it to the freezer.
  9. Repeat the process of blending and freezing twice or thrice.
  10. Then freeze it for completely for 4-5 hours.
  11. Serve as required.
Recipe Notes

Notes-

You can use condensed milk instead of evaporated milk and sugar. if you find the mixture too thick add some full cream milk to the mixture. Rest of the process is same.

Use almond essense if you like. You can use ameretto if you dont mind the alcohol.
