Chocolate orange cake with chocolate ganache- easy cake recipes

This was the cake I made for the new year. But have taken a long time to post it here. I have always loved the chocolate and orange combo in cake. It tastes so divine. I had made a similar combination cake years ago and my friends had loved it too. So I knew it really works out well. So when I had all the ingredients, especially oranges as I usually dont buy them much, I decided to go ahead with this cake. My son had wanted a chocolate cake as always when I asked him what to bake for the new year. The cake was really delicious ,moist, spongy bursting with flavours and everyone at home loved it.

Thanks to my dad and sis who gifted me the blender during their visit here. The old one gave up a couple of months ago and I was looking forward to buy a new one. I used it for the first time and going to use it for more bakes in near future. Okay, and if you do try out this delicious recipe, I think you should , please refer the notes below for more ideas.

Meanwhile , for more such delicous cakes and cookies recipes which I will be posting soon, you will get the updates if you like my FB page here or you can also follow me on google plus.

  20. 1. You can use white granulated sugar or brown sugar completely.
  21. 2. Use fresh orange juice preferably.

  24. 5. I have used chocolate ganache for frosting. The recipe for it , you can see here.
