Hello to all the readers of creative Saga. Its been a really long time since I opened my blog and decided to write a post. Things have been busy as usual and tiring. So I hardly get a chance and the determination to open the laptop and blog. I have been […]
I enjoy using healthy ingredients in my baking. Here in this recipe , I have used oats and whole wheat flour. It hardly takes any time to put the ingredients together and the whole thing takes less than 30 minutes. Its so easy to make. The taste was awesome too. Kids really enjoyed them.
The flour is not at all coarse and is quite smooth and powdery which I thought will be quite ideal in baking. I have tried brownies with them. It tasted good but I still need to adjust the ingredients to make them blogworthy. But the cookies which I made similar to our Indian nankhatai turned out very good.
I do wish to come back to regular blogging but it really seems quite impossible these day as the routine work takes up all the time. Weekdays are very tiring and weekends are for relaxing so that we can regain the energy and be ready for the next weeks haul. […]
Chaat is a favourite at home. We all enjoy it and I do try to make it quite often with whatever ingredients I have in hand. So there is nothing of a compulsion except for a few ingredients which are readilly available. You can just proceed with whatever you have like puffed rice, store bought chiwda, sev, boondi, peanuts ,spicy dals. Mix them with onion and tomatoes. Pour in some sauces and chutneys and your chaat is ready.
Garlic ,tamarind and jaggery is added to suppress the pungent fiery taste of the red chillies. But it is still very spicy. I love to have it with my curd rice , chapatis or dosas sometimes.
This is a very easy recipe and its my go to recipe whenever I don’t have much time for cooking. This does not really require any side dish as such though you can serve a side dish of your choice if you like it that way. Papads or chips should be a good choice to serve with too!
This salad with cute looking tiny red radish does not just looks awesome. It is delicious and healthy too.
My sister had once suggested to try a stir fry with it using onions and all. So when I got the stem last month, I decided to make it this way. It was spicy and delicious and it really tasted great with phulkas. We all enjoyed it and am sure I will making this again and again.
Similar to my lauki kofta recipe, I used shallow fry method in a aebelskiver pan to cook the koftas which otherwise can be deep fried too. So its your choice on how to cook the koftas. And then in the end I have added a little cream to make the gravy slightly richer.
