Eggless oaty brownies

       I spent an entire afternoon browsing through Sunitha’s blog . I really like her amazing baking creations. The cakes are so wonderful and absolutely love the fact that she uses only atta (whole wheat flour) in all her bakes. I have bookmarked so many recipes and soon will be posting some of them in near future. Eggless oats brownies was one of them. They were so yummylicious and my son ( a picky eater ) could not just stop eating them. Thank you Sunita!!After this one , I have become a crazy brownie fan. I am just looking for more and more brownie recipes  and baking them too.Well thats another story. So heres the recipe for today.

Ingredients-

Atta/whole wheat flour- 1 1/2 cup

Oats- 3/4 cup

Cocoa powder- 2tbsp

Baking powder-1tsp

Dark chocolate- 150gm

Brown sugar- 4tbsp

Milk-2 cups

Oil- 5tbsp

  • flour oats cocoa baking powder milk sugar flour chocolate greased floured cake cream Preheat the oven to 180c.Combine the , , powder, in a bowl. Whisk the oil, and in another bowl. Make a well in center of the mixture and pour the liquid mixture and mix it well. Fold the melted in the batter. Pour the batter in a and ed pan. Place the pan in the center of the oven and bake at 180c for around 25 minutes. Cool in the pan. Slice and serve with if your prefer.
  • Today happens to be my dad' birthday too. So this post along with the yummy brownies are for him. Happy birthday pa!!!

Brownies look very nice… I also bookmarked a few recipes from her blog and always wondered how atta tastes in cookies and brownies, and that’s what held me back from trying out her bakes… Recently I made cookies with atta from manjula’s kitchen and really liked it. I think I will bake recipes from sunita’s blog too.http://www.myspicykitchen.net

  3. I tried this recipe yesterday and sorry to say that it tasted nowhere like a brownie and the taste of atta was over powering..This recipe can be classfied as a bland health bar and is more suited for people who like the taste of atta in their bakes..Reena

  4. @Reena – Thanks a lot for your feedback, I appreciate it.It sure depends on an individual’s taste..I have friends who don’t like atta in bakes..but I also know people who prefer and ask me to include atta in place of APF/maida and enjoy them without the guilt of eating refined flour in everyday bakes/snacks atleast.. But in any case you can also take 50% each of atta and maida..just a suggestion!
