I tasted this kind of fruit salad at a friends place during her son’s birthday party. Actually her filipino help had made this salad. It tasted really delicious and I decided to make it one day for my family. A couple of years back, another friend had made something similar, but the dressing was too watery, so I really did not enjoy that much. I made this when my family from India were here. We all enjoyed it though it was too sweet for our taste and just had a small portion of it also keeping in mind the amount of calories in it. However, I am surely going to make this for small get togethers as its a really easy to make and a ideal dessert and people will surely love it!!!
You will find a variety of recipes for this fruit dessert in the net. But nowhere , you will find the dessert topped with blueberry filling. I had it, so I decided to top the salad with it. We enjoyed it. But leave it out if you don’t want to. Or refer the notes below to find out what else you can do with it.
I had made a few desserts during this holidays and will post them in the next few days. The school will reopen tomorrow and the routine work starts again, sigh…but I do look forward it this.

Drain the sugar syrup completely by passing the fruit mix through a sieve.
Empty the condensed milk into a large salad bowl.
Beat the cream for a minute or two by keeping it in a small bowl.Pour the cream slowly and stirring it at the same time so that the cream mixes with the condensed milk properly to form a uniform creamy mix.
Add the fruits into the cream mix.
Mix everything properly.
I had blueberry pie filling leftover after making a cheesecake. So I topped the salad with this.
1. You can top with some jelly or some conserve if you want.
2. If you don't get/have a cocktail mix, use papaya,peaches, pineapple,cherries, nata de coco, berries, apples(peeled), honeydew,cantaloupes.
3.You can use lowfat sweetened condensed milk and reduced cream to reduce the calories of the dessert.
4. Even cream cheese can be used in the salad dressing. Blend it with a cup of yogurt or milk in a blender and add it to the dressing.
5. A tip- When you are serving during parties, place the fruit salad pre -served in small disposable individual cups.
