How to make Cucumber kadi— cucumber recipes

I feel ,whatever we make, the new recipes, the traditional old ones ,though appreciated always, sometimes fails to satisfy the family members , especially when a particular demand is not fulfilled.Everything else made with love loses its value.Oh??You did not understand… Just a thought.

We have to keep on looking for new recipes or modify the old ones so that there is some so called change.

So today , I made this kadi( spicy buttermilk) the usual way, only, thought of adding some cucumber cubes. I have never used cucumber in anything expect in salads and recently in my bhel.

I have seen people adding Dudhi/lauki/bottlegourd in kadi. But cucumber also seemed a great idea and tasted delicious. Everyone loved it and the smile was brought back!!!

  17. Hi Sowmya, first time here. The Cucumber kadi recipe sounds good. We at Kerala, use Malabar cucumber (the speckled yellow malabar cucumber in something called morkuzhambu (pulisseri) which kind of looks similar but skips the besan.

adding you to my foodie blog list.
