Chaat is a favourite at home. We all enjoy it and I do try to make it quite often with whatever ingredients I have in hand. So there is nothing of a compulsion except for a few ingredients which are readilly available. You can just proceed with whatever you have like puffed rice, store bought chiwda, sev, boondi, peanuts ,spicy dals. Mix them with onion and tomatoes. Pour in some sauces and chutneys and your chaat is ready.
Though I have visited Mumbai a couple of times, I have never got to taste its street food which is so popular especially the pulao and pav bhaji. I recently heard about this sandwich from a friend who makes this quite regularly at her home. I took the recipe from her and made it one day. It was a filling meal with loads of vegetables. Buttermilk is the best drink to beat the scorching heat of the hot summers. And cucumber eaten raw or in juiced form quenches thirst and always keeps your body hydrated,as it is rightly said”as cool as cucumber”. Combining this makes a ideal drink for the summer. One can refrigerate this and can have the chilled drink number of times a day. It has a lot of health benefits also. I am sending this as my entry for fun ‘n’ sun event hosted by easycrafts.
