I have used some jowar/sorghum flour of which I had some in the freezer. I wanted to use something healthy and thinking of whole wheat flour or oats, I finally decided to make with millet. You can try using any kind of millet flour. I have not tried but am sure it would work as long as there is chocolate in it. You can even use whole wheat flour instead of maida. The texture would be a bit more chewy in that case. And please feel free to use any kind of sugar you have. I have used orange marmalade here . I have always loved the combination of orange and chocolate.
I had made this brownies a couple of months ago for my kids snacktime. They love anything with chocolate and I promptly sneaked in some sweet potatoes making the brownies healthier. Walnuts give a nice crunch and chocolate just enhance the taste. They had a nice texture and were really delicious. Kids enjoyed and sweet potatoes imparts the necessary sweetness , So I have added very little sugar to it in the end.

Boxed baking mixes are something which I buy very rarely. For regular baking at home,I prefer using healthy ingredients available with me to bake cakes,cookies and brownies. Infact I bought a few packets when I had got a new oven and just leaning to bake.

It turned out quite good and delicious though it wasn’t too moist and had a dry crumb but soft in the inside.The colour was good too!! It tasted good and my kids had them too!! You can try this out if you love fruit and nut cakes.
I sometimes add cardamom powder, whole cinnamon or cinnamon powder or even lemon grass. I like the spicy taste of my tea and its quite soothing especially when you are having a cold or fever. Its quite refreshing and I especially love to have it after my nap.
I had made this smoothie few months ago when I had bought some pomegranates which were not at all sweet. My kids love pomegranate. But this particular variety which I had got from the supermarket were huge and looked juicy with a beautiful red colour. But they were not sweet at all. So I decided to make a smoothie. I and my hubby had it for breakfast . It was yummy and filling too!! It was a good way of using up the fruits.
