Craving for a coffee flavoured cake. Make this one in just 2 minutes!!
When I visited kailas parbat for the first time, something which really piqued my interest were their chole baturas. Of course, it was not the first time, I was coming across or having chole baturas. To tell you the fact, I have had the authentic ones during our stay in Delhi. I have devoured different varieties of them and have really enjoyed them to the core. But here in Kailas parbat, they had something different to offer.
I have also been making pancakes. I use healthy and different ingredients each time. I normally use whole wheat flour or oats. And then , I drizzle with some sugarcane syrup before I serve. This syrup was given by a friend and it has been a great thing. We have totally enjoyed it. My kids also love these pancakes and eat them in a jiffy without making a fuss leaving a satisfied me!!!
It turned out quite good and delicious though it wasn’t too moist and had a dry crumb but soft in the inside. The colour was good too!! It tasted good and my kids had them too!! You can try this out if you love fruit and nut cakes.
I sometimes add cardamom powder, whole cinnamon or cinnamon powder or even lemon grass. I like the spicy taste of my tea and its quite soothing especially when you are having a cold or fever. Its quite refreshing and I especially love to have it after my nap.
Recently, I was just getting nostalgic about my school days at pune. I was around 7 years around that time. There was this tiny cute bakery on my way back from school with full of yummy colourful goodies. Everyday as I walked back home holding my moms fingers, I use to be tempted and craved for each of those yums. This particular pink colour muffins covered with sweetened coconut fascinated me a lot. On some rare occasions, Mom used to buy the goodies. We ate with relish and enjoyed it to the core though if it was today , I…
Hello to all my readers. Good to be back to blogging after a very long time. But I have been working on my blog and still working on it. I am trying to make it more organised and more better to get motivated to be regular to blogging.Cooking has been going on and it has been full fledged healthy cooking. I do have some recipes in my drafts which I would like to get done with and then start working on other recipes.
I had made this muffins almost six months ago. I had got a packet of frozen khoya from mustafa last year with an intention of making some sweets for diwali , but never found the time. Finally when it was nearing the expiry date, I decided to make the muffins which I had bookmarked long ago from a few blogs. I did not want to use eggs or condensed milk in it. So I finally took a recipe from here and made some small changes in the measurements and eliminated a few ingredients.I think I baked the cake a tad more time and it sunk a little in the center. But the cake was denser as I had expected it to be just like we find in the indian bakeries. Its certainly not going to be spongy. But the cake was really good and it involves lots of calories , so I would not
Its almost 5-6 months now and today I finally decided to post. Things keep me busy, and when I do find time, I cant bring myself to do the process of clicking, editing and publishing the pictures and the posts. It seems like a elaborate activity. Though I keep getting kind enquiries from my friends and bloggers about why I am missing in action nowadays. So finally I decided to leave all my priorities behind and publish a post. Cooking has been happening , but not much of baking. So perhaps when I start blogging , I will restart baking too.
