  1. Heat half of the oil in a pan.
  2. Add the rava and semiya.
  3. Saute for 5-7 minutes till an aroma wafts and is slightly changes its colour.
  4. Keep it aside in a plate till use.
  5. Heat the remaining oil.
  6. Add the mustard seeds and udid dal.
  7. when it crackes, add the green chillies and curry leaves.
  8. Saute for a minutes and then add the onions and sautxe9 till it turns slightly brown.
  9. Add the chopped vegetables.
  10. Add the turmeric powder and salt.
  11. Mix well and pour 3.5 cups of water.
  12. Allow it to boil. Meanwhile the vegetable also gets cooked , yet retains the crunch.
  13. Use a spoon to find out if the vegetable is cooked.
  14. Add the roasted rava and vermicelli.
  15. Stir with a spoon immediately till the mixture cooks and thickens.
  16. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  17. Switch of the flame.
  18. Add ghee on the to and mix well.
  19. Serve warm with some chutney.
Recipe Notes


1. You can use carrots, beans, capsicum, peas or even beetroot and broccoli.  Chop them fine.
