Shankarpali is another traditional snack made during diwali. Its quite addictive snack and goes well with your afternoon tea. I love the sweet version of this snack which I will try to post soon. But I wanted to make some savouries for diwali, as I have posted a number of sweet recipes already. Actually, this shows our love for sweets more than savouries. But I was wrong. My kids were more interested in the savouries. So I have decided to try more of them.
Coming back to the recipe. I decided to make this diamond biscuits a little different by adding different spices just as we do for mathris or namakpara. It was delicious and as it is mildly spiced kids loved them too especially my younger one tried nibbling a few of them.
